BY CAR

Byron Bay is 10 hours drive north of Sydney, 1 1/2 hours drive south of Brisbane and 40 min drive south of Queensland's Gold Coast. If you are coming from the south: From Ballina you can take either the Pacific Hwy or the coast road to Byron Bay. If you are taking the Pacific Highway, stay on the highway north from Ballina until you come to the Byron Bay interchange (you won't miss it), about a 30 minute drive. If taking the coast road, once you have passed through Ballina follow the signs to Lennox Head and Byron Bay. This is also about a 30 minute drive. If you are coming from the north: On the Pacific Highway you go over the Brunswick River, past the Brunswick heads and Mullumbimby turn offs, then take the Byron Bay exit.

BY BUS	Greyhound and Kirklands bus lines run daily services via the Pacific Hwy from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. There is also a wide choice of airport shuttle busses operating from Brisbane, Coolangatta and Ballina airports.
